The first step that a blogger or website owner makes after he or she decides on the focus is finding a solid hosting site. When I started my first site (which was THIS site), I was looking for three things:
1) Cost-effective – I wanted it to be inexpensive without sacrificing quality service.
2) Quick and Easy to get up and running – I don’t have time to deal with computer lingo mumbo jumbo. I just wanted to get the site up as quickly as possible.
3) Quality Customer Service – just in case I needed someone to walk me through it all
After searching, I had a friend refer me to Bluehost. They have become my go-to site for my domain name and hosting packages on all of my websites. Bluehost is easy to navigate and get your site up and running in no time. They also have great customer service, AND…they have low-cost monthly plans that blow their competitors out of the water. I have never been disappointed with Bluehost.
After you get your domain name and hosting, they will send you detailed emails that will give you step-by-step instructions. When you are ready to download the website builder application (directions will be included in accessing this download), you want to select WordPress.
Of course, their quality customer service department can walk you through any technical issues that you have. Starting a website can be overwhelming, but the Bluehost team is awesome.
Please note that links to tools within this post are affiliate links, which I receive financial gain from if purchases are made from them. I would NEVER promote anyone to purchase something that I have not used and been pleased with – my integrity is too important to me to swindle good people out of hard earned cash.
